Lavishly's Lines Week #10

I apologize for not recapping week #9 and doing the power rankings last week.  My brother was in town so I took a little time off to hang out with him and his family. Plus, it is very hard to concentrate on the PASL with all of the "Playoff Fever" that has been sweeping through Southern California.  GO CHARGERS!

Wichita B-52's @ Dallas Sidekicks  Dallas -2 over/under 16  Final Score Dallas 6 Wichita 3  I got close on the spread, but missed the over/under.  Wichita is a much improved side since the beginning of the season and I think that they might have a legitimate shot at an upset when these two sides face off again on Saturday at the Hartman Arena.

4-3 Mexico Toros @ 2-6 Ontario Fury  Ontario's season is spinning out of control and a win at home would end their 6 game losing streak and give them some sort of a starting point to try and make a run to get into good standings in the Pacific Division.  As it stands, Ontario is 5 games out of first place with 8 games left in the season, but 4 of those games are against San Diego and Las Vegas.  It is too risky for the Fury to hope that Ontario gets picked as the destination for the Ron Newman Cup Finals, giving them a bye, so they need to start picking up W's to maybe sneak into the postseason, where anything can happen. Ontario -2 o/u 18

2-6 Turlock Express @ 7-1 Las Vegas Legends  The Express don't stand a chance against a high powered offense like the Legends have, especially in Vegas.  Legends will have another scoring party at the expense of the visiting Turlock side.  Las Vegas -7.5 o/u 16

5-4 Bay Area Rosal @ 1-8 Sacramento Surge  The Surge have won a game on the road, but now can they win one at home?  The Rosal say no. Bay Area -2 o/u 12

7-2 Dallas Sidekicks @ 3-5 Wichita B-52's  Wichita has a good shot at upsetting the Sidekicks at the Hartman Arena on Saturday night after their close game in Dallas on Thursday night.  If Matt Clare can have a big game, and the B-52's can convert at least 50% of their power plays, then the B-52's have a good chance of getting the upset. Dallas -1.5 o/u 15

1-8 Illinois Piasa @ 7-3 Cleveland Freeze  Wampus goes home happy.  Cleveland -5 o/u 13

7-1 Hidalgo La Fiera @ 0-8 Texas Strikers  Strikers have no chance.  Hidalgo -7 o/u 15

4-4 Detroit Waza Flo @ 3-5 Cincinnati Saints  Detroit seems to have turned the ship around after breaking their losing streak with a dominating win over the Saints at home.  The Waza now need to pick up some road wins beginning in Cincinnati, but the Saints will put up a better fight now they have seen the Waza Flo and will be taking them on at home in Cincinnati.  Detroit -1.5 o/u 17

9-1 Monterrey Flash @ 4-4 Saltillo Rancho Seco  Monterrey beat Rancho Seco last time they met, and I think the Flash will handle Rancho Seco in Saltillo another time.  Monterrey -2 o/u 14

6-2 San Diego Sockers @ 4-3 Toros Mexico  San Diego has made the trip to Tijuana before, so they know what they are up against.  The Toros are a dangerous team at home and will give the Sockers no quarter.  San Diego -2 o/u 14

1-8 Illinois Piasa @ 4-4 Detroit Waza Flo No way Illinois goes into Detroit and picks up a win against a Waza team which is getting their second wind of the season.  Detroit -4 o/u 12

3-5 Cincinnati Saints @ 8-0 Chicago Mustangs  Cincinnati will be too worn out from traveling to Detroit and playing a game against the Waza the night before and won't put up much of a fight against the undefeated Mustangs.  Chicago -5.5 o/u 15
